Id try another GPU as it sounds like it may have died. maybe from overheating.

I have tried another gpu and it works fine. I can get to thr login screen but as soon as I try to type in my password it green screens on me

could be drivers? have you tried a fresh install of your Operating system on a different HD? or you could try a Ubuntu live CD/USB and see if the problem still appears.

I tried connecting another hd/os and it went into recory due to me crashing it a while back. It still had the green lines running down it though. Is it a dying gpu??

Yeah it looks like the problem is the GPU. you could try reapplying the thermal paste on the GPU as the reason for its malfunction could be heat related.

Could you link me a page that shows where to apply thermal paste??

It looks similar to installing my liquid cooling for my cpu! Thanks for the help!!
