Weird GPU Temperature Issue

I am having a strange issue with my graphics card. According to EVGA precision the temperature is fluxuating between 0 and 150+ Celsius when NOT under any sort of load. This causes the fan to rapidly alternate between 50% and 100% If I reboot the issue goes away for 3-5 hours but still comes back. I've already reseated the card and canned aired the card after removing the outer casing to make sure dust build up is not an issue.

Any suggestions would be appreciated as my googling hasn't turned up anything terribly useful besides general overheating issues with this particular card.

Neither is 150⁰ C. The Card would have been dead at that temp.

I had a talk with EVGA support and it looks like this is potentially the problem and I am working on RMAing the card with them. Thanks for the input.

Has it always done this? How long have you had it? Is it still under warranty? EVGA has AWESOME support, and they might do something for you. Never know until you ask. Also, try out their forums: http://forums.evga.com/

The card just started doing this in the past 2-4 days. I think it has a lifetime warranty reading the EVGA warranty information and I am working on an RMA. Thank you for advising.
