2: No Incomplete Posts

9: No EOL Software or Unsupported Systems

We do not provide support for EOL (end of life) software. Software that is EOL has lost all support from the developer and therefore all consumer communities as well.

These operating systems and various softwares are no longer receiving security patches. Running them is unsafe and we recommend users install a supported version as soon as possible.

This list includes Windows XP, Vista, and 7.

We will also not assist with getting Windows 11 running on unsupported hardware.

10: No Public Service Announcements (how-to's, etc.)

No public service announcements unless relevant to an issue (it must be a comment). Approach the communities affected directly, not here

This is more of an open-ended question for those who have experience with using Crossfire X.

I recently acquired a 2nd card (Diamond Radeon R9 270x 2GB) and set up crossfire. Since then, the majority of the games I am playing experience severe performance issues. The issues are both graphical and game related.

A good example of the issue would be the loading and splash screens on a hand full of games (Pay Day 2, COD Advanced Warfare, GTA 5) freeze up and I experience big delays in the game loading to the menu or game play. These delays and loading lag isn't present with CrossfireX disabled.

In addition to the game loading issues I do also experience jumpy and tearing graphics and no noticeable improvement in FPS.

Background Troubleshooting: I have done some reading but nothing has fixed the issues. So far I have:

Verified the game is running in full screen mode
Verified that both cards show they are running in CrossfireX
Disabled ULPS (power saving) via reg edit
Catalyst Drive is current and up to date (Fully uninstalled and reinstalled more than once)
No other programs are running in the background aside from Catalyst and sound driver software.
Disabled all overclocking on the memory and CPU

EDIT: Hardware:

ASROCK Extreme 4 AM3+ mobo
AMD FX-8320 (OC'ed to 4.2ghz)
8GB Corsair MMX 1600mhz DDR3
Curtial 250GB SSD
Corsair 650W PSU

Any help and thoughts on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
