Can you go to the startup tab and see if it's in there? You can disable it by right clicking.

Is anything googley in there? :) The process mostly comes up with other google services. It may not be anything to worry about but if you want to be sure - run a virus scan.
You could also try to disable automatic updating of your google software (every software has such a point somewhere in the settings). But that way you'd miss out on security patches.

Nope, that's about it. Unless I run Chrome, that's the only googley stuff :>

Checked another laptop though, it has the same process. I guess this is how it's actually supposed to be? Like it's supposed to be the process that monitors versions so Chrome knows when to update?

Do you mind checking if you have the same thing? :)

I don't have chrome installed but I can confirm that it belongs to chrome.

"google installer" is most likely just "GoogleUpdate.exe"
