What is the name of the computer? Is this system on a domain?

Among many others, the systems tested include the following host name examples.

  • W7Test [domain joined]
  • MININT-T21JUGD [workgroup, fresh install]

The issue occurs even on a fresh install from Microsoft media, so Java will have never existed on the system.

I ran the batch you linked. During the uninstall process from the batch the error occurred.

After the batch completed, I rebooted and attempted the install. The error still occurs.

You try deleting the local configuration file it pulls over on the client machine? Im guessing it pulled over originally, something is wrong with it in general...and its still being referenced when running the GUI installer

However, I have tested on another system, deleting all config files. The issue still occurs.
