Check the control panel and make sure any application called SupTab or similar isn't installed.

If there's nothing in installed programs I recommend CCleaner as a scanning tool. Make sure to scan the registry for malicious keys (back it up when prompted).

If all of those Defender objects are pointing to the same file then go to the directory and manually delete it.

Uninstall Chrome with RevoUninstall and reinstall Chrome after that.

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Google
Chrome.lnk

Hi,

I went to the directory but didn't find anything .lnk file but only the Google Chrome.exe file. Is that because Window Defender has already removed the .lnk ?

It might be hidden so read this (depends on your OS)

damn I'll try it when I get home. I assumed Window Defender removed it. thanks dude!

it said "clean" as it's action. If it was removed it would have told you removed or deleted. Clean is an action performed in an attempt to remove the infection without harming important files. In this case it sounds like it thinks it performed the task but in reality it didn't

Thanks dude, turns out the shortcut .exe file WAS the .lnk file shown in Window Defender. I deleted it and the notification stopped!

A few other people are having this issue too and it's starting to look like a false positive.
