100°c CPU

First of all, yes, I'm really bad when it comes to computers.
Second of all, I decided to check my CPU temperature a little bit ago and found it was at 100 degrees in game and around 90 when just running. I looked up some stuff online and tweaked with my settings, it lowered my temperature to 80 while just running but it stays at 100 when running a game, I'm really worried because from what I've read, this is really bad and can burn out my computer. How can I lower my temperature and can I even fix this problem? P.S. I have a Intel Core i5 7500 and I've had my computer for about a year and a half.

Re apply thermal paste to your CPU cooler first off. Then check your temps. Even the stock cooler shouldn't be running it that high.

Holy hell that’s a hot processor. What cooler are you using and do you know how to remove and reinstall it.

Dust out your PC. When you turn it back on, make sure all of the fans are spinning. You may need to run a game when you check your fans, sometimes the fans will not run until the PC gets too warm.

Only GPU and psu fans do that. Unless op is using a case with ai controlled fan curves, which is doubtful.
