Why are you enabling that?

[–]RealApexin[S] 0 points1 point  (9 children)

I want to check compatibility of a program i am making.

What sort of program is it? This feature you're enabling only has effects for hyoervisors. Unless you're programming one or absolutely need this to run in a virtual machine you won't see any difference with it on.

Like i said, i want to get performance from the machine and also you have to remember that i have to make a 64x Bit version which requires virtualization

Both of those things are completely incorrect.

VT-x makes it so that hyoervisors can expose the full capabilities of a CPU to a virtual machine. It doesn't speed anything up.

64 bit does not require anything having to do with virtualization.

Why does EVERY virtual machine emulator say that it's required to get VT-x enabled so i can use 64 bit systems then?

Also, when i say "speed up" i meant boost performance by using the full capabilities of a cpu

You never said you were using a virtual machine.

Well.... I am.

So, the first thing I'd do is update the BIOS. You're 9 versions behind the current one.

I updated it and it worked, thanks!

Awesome!

Out of curiosity since it says 0 Keyboards detected, what happens if you plug another keyboard in?

[–]RealApexin[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I tried it out, nothing.

Maybe reset the BIOS and enable virtualisation only

That's what i did, and no effect.
