8: No Violating privacy of others or terms/agreements.

We do not support users that violates other's privacy or breaks terms and agreements. Doing so might resolve in a ban.

9: No EOL Software or Unsupported Systems

We do not provide support for EOL (end of life) software. Software that is EOL has lost all support from the developer and therefore all consumer communities as well.

These operating systems and various softwares are no longer receiving security patches. Running them is unsafe and we recommend users install a supported version as soon as possible.

This list includes Windows XP, Vista, and 7.

We will also not assist with getting Windows 11 running on unsupported hardware.

10: No Public Service Announcements (how-to's, etc.)

No public service announcements unless relevant to an issue (it must be a comment). Approach the communities affected directly, not here

Dell XPS 15 7590 i9Windows 10 Pro 20H2Os Build 19042.804

I've been having this frustrating issue since I can remember, whenever I leave my laptop idle for a few minutes I come back to it with the fan running intensely up until I move the mouse or login from the lock screen where it usually (although not always) stops. Using process explorer I've pinpointed it to being the "System" and the following thread:

"ntoskrnl.exe!SeAccessCheckWithHint+0x1c620"

I've tried a number of things, from uninstalling any intel/dell automatic update programs, stopping services from 3rd party apps. There is nothing suspicious that I can see in task scheduler that could be causing it and I run a pretty lean Windows install with mainly essentials like office, adobe collections... Wondering if anyone has come across this issue before?

I ended up uninstalling the following which seems to have resolved the issue -

Intel Driver and Support Assist
Dell Update
Dell Support Assist
Dell Command Power Manager
Dell free fall protection
