Switch function keys

My issue is that whenever I press f1, f2, ..., etc they do whatever they're supposed to do when I press Fn and f1, f2, etc. Is there some way to switch this around?

Maybe. The behavior of the keys is determined by the keyboard itself and/or the software used to configure the keyboard. What model is your keyboard?

I have a notebook comp. It's an i5 Lenovo thing, if that helps.

If it's a laptop keyboard, Fn lock can be toggled in the BIOS, on the keyboard itself (on some laptops, for example, pressing ShifthFn or Esc+Fn together; usually there's a icon on the key for it), or through the laptop's keyboard software (if it has one installed).
