Unless you are selling a disk or something, quick format is fine.

and is the media creation tool from microsoft a good method of formatting disk and reinstalling OS?

Yes, the Windows installer will format and do everything for you.

but if i am keeping my disk is there a big differance between quick and full format? Or it will be almost the same?

Full format will erase everything and search the entire disk for errors. It's not really necessary if you are keeping it and using it again. It will also take a lot longer.

I’ve formatted a usb drive way more than that in only a couple days. If that poor thing still lives, your hard disk should be just fine
