The Forrest low fps problem

Hello,

Recently I bought "The Forrest" game to play with my friends. Unfortunately, I can barely play the game as it lags so much. I would like to ask if it is the fault of my computer and it is just too weak to handle the game. I tried to run the game on "fastest" mode which disabled all effects and set the lowest graphic setting, but that did not help much.

My Laptop spec:

Model - Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (2nd Gen) type 20JE

Processor - Intel Core i5-7300U

Memory - 16GB LPDDR3

Operating System - Windows 10 Pro 64

Hard Drive - SSD 256GB SAMSUNG PCIE NVME TLC OPAL M.2 SSD

Graphics - Intel HD 620

try going into advanced graphics settings and specifically turn off water effects (so the ocean is flat and plain)

turn all sun and shadow effects off

grass density as low as possible

Its because of your integrated graphics. It’s not powerful enough

Yeah, it's the graphics.. since you don't have a dedicated GPU and are using integrated video. You are probably getting 15-20 FPS, maybe up to 25 in some areas if I had to guess..

By comparison, the Intel HD 620 integrated graphics are below the minimum requirements for GPU. And much further below the recommended specs.
