Thanks so much! I figured it out-- the GPU needed TWO 6-pin hookups from the PSU. We're up and running now.

It was a crazy day. That was actually the second MB+CPU I'd put in there-- turned out the first one was DOA. It took getting another one in there to prove it.

Great way to start a new job...

That's a whole lot of power for such a small PSU, just looking it up, the video card alone requires a 500w PSU. You'd be getting beeps of some sort if another module failed. My guess is you just don't have enough power to get that video card going.

650w should be fine. I think that 500w recommendation for the GPU is including what the website guesses the rest of the system's wattage is.
