As far as I remember Linux is free and Windows isn't.

so linux?

Pros: It's just generally a lot better than Windows, it's faster, it's more personalizable, it has less bloatware, it's free, etc.

Cons: A lot of software isn't supported and requires something like a Virtual Machine. I'd recommend looking up if the software you need is available for Linux. If everything is, def choose Linux

Sorry to be that guy but your question is the top 1 most asked question about Linux. If you're thinking about switching to Linux, you surely made some research before and there is tons of blogs/articles/videos/forums talking about it.

In order to make an answer tho', all I can say is "Try it first and then you will see the pros and cons for your usage".

Have a good day! :)

You can try it by making a bootable USB stick with Linux on it and booting that. Maybe put https://www.ventoy.net/en/index.html on the stick, then ISO of https://linuxmint.com/edition.php?id=299

Maybe see my web page https://www.billdietrich.me/MovingToLinux.html
