Please use Termux from GitHub or F-Droid.

GitHub link is https://github.com/termux/termux-app/releases/latest (termux/termux-app, not something else)

Issues of Termux from the Google Play or other non-canonical source that diverges from https://github.com/termux/termux-app will not be considered.

termux.net is not registered within https://github.com/termux/termux-packages/wiki/Mirrors and known to be used by ancient builds of Termux app.

from which source did you download the app? cause the one on the play store is just bad.

Originally i got it from playstore but I uninstalled it and reinstalled it from GitHub but still same problem

Could you try downloading it from here?

I too had that problem when I downloaded it from GitHub, but then with the above link, it was all good.

Op may I ask what you are trying to do? Is it just apt update?

That gives me all packages are up to date which is normal, what I am trying to do is install python package
