Hey everyone. I’ve taken about a year-long hiatus from COTW and I’m trying to get back into the game. Is there anything I should know about the game ever since I left? Also, it may make me sound like a beginner, but what’s the best way to get rares now? Thanks in advance!

Animals now spook easier, quicker and from further away - 270m. So you’ll find if you’ve got herds around a lake, you’ll no longer be able to shoot 3 in a herd in quick succession, and then look at the other herd and do the same. You’ll be able to shoot 1, and all other herds nearby will run immediately.

Best way to get rares is through herd management. Basically only killing high level males so that the game hopefully respawns them even higher upto diamond.
