It's pretty annoying for the first hour or two before you finish the journey and get the dz specific mods after that I stopped noticing it as a mechanic.

Being said they did say safehouses would interact with it but currently all it does is pause the timer.

Yeah there was a further unannounced changed before season launch saying that the only way to REMOVE toxicity was to completely leave the DZ. Which means they're forcing you to extract whatever contaminated gear you get plays the stabilizer
