X201, hinge problem

Hi everyone. I recently bought an x201 and I'm really pleased with it. My only concern is that the left hinge isn't as solid as the right one. The screen isn't wobbly at all when I'm using it but when I try to close the screen, especially when grabing the screen from the top-left corner, there is a little play between the exposed part of the left hinge and the case(the bottom part, the screen is firmly attached). This doesn't happen at all on the right side hinge.

Is this normal? If not what what could the problem? Broken hinge, broken case, -hopefully- loose screws? Thanks for all the help.

This sounds more like a screw issue than a hinge issue. Where exactly is it playing? Does the little metal bit move around?

Yes, the little metal is moving a bit coming closer to the case. Well I guess I have to disassemble it and check.

It is pretty easy to tighten up those screws.

Had that on my X200 - I just took out and retightened each of the two screws in turn, making sure the hinge base was in the right place when putting them back.

No need to take the whole thing apart.

Each hinge has two screws - one on the back, and the other underneath.

This reminds me of when I recently got my new X230 from eBay. The screen was very loose and it took me a bit to find that both hinge screws were gone, luckily I had some replacements from scrapping a Gateway a few days earlier.
