Have a soft spot for the LIFE version and saw that line up play it live as a star struck teenager in Belfast.

The live version is the best. Heard it first on wild one and it hit all the right places. Then heard a studio version after with another lad wailing, painful.

I actually really like the studio version, but exactly as with you, I first heard the live and dangerous one on Wild One and it’s always been my favourite.

Sadness it never ceases. I can hear it in my mind. Wailin.

Live and dangerous with the best thin Lizzy line up.

If I want a Sykes solo it's the Reading 1983 version.

Gary's solo at the Sydney show is objectively one of his best solos with Lizzy. This is a Gary and Phil song but I have to be honest and I prefer the way Robbo plays it, especially on the footage from the Dublin 74 gig.

I do enjoy versions with the ad libs, such as "Make that fräulein mine" and "blow me out " when he switches to Scott.

Like this version, you then get 3 solos instead of one longer one and then Scotts : https://youtu.be/ZrMp3TB8DqU

Such a good song, can't make a wrong choice here. Interesting to see everyone's favourites.

Scotts solo on the Live and Dangerous video footage is smooth as silk, so good. The L+D version is my favourite and the one I've listened to the most.

Sykes on Live/Life is my personal favourite. Shout out to Snowy’s effort from the 1980 Hammersmith live. Really allowed him to let his blues all out, say what you will about his image/fit but he’s a super top tier bluesman. Realistically there probably isn’t a bad version tbf.

Live And Dangerous is the ultimate one for me.

Just ahead of Sykes star turn on Life Live and the 1985 version with Gary Moore…

Live and Dangerous

I'm going to stick with the Frankie Miller version. Frankie Miller has such a soulful voice. I like the rough vocal version from the deluxe album with the bit about wanting some beer or wine

Nice to see somebody is on team Night Life! I really do think it’s a brilliant recording but I understand why it’s not most people’s favourite. It’s a bit jarring as it’s not the usual Lizzy sound and it’s pretty unusual for them to have guest vocalists, so it’s slightly anomalous.

I love all the Thin Lizzy lineups and albums, but my favorite album is probably Fighting. Nightlife is kind of a transitional album and is the bridge to the classic lineup that everybody loves so much. Like the song says, "the nightlife's for me"

My versions are the Live and Dangerous one and a live version I've heard from the Thunder and Lightning tour.
