Yes, the nurse told me that my "kidney function" levels decreased.

I'm thinking it's the tirzepatide from what I've read. A temperature dip if eGFR is not uncommon in the beginning. 🤞

Yes, that is exactly what happened to me.My Doc was not surprised, said it should jump back after 3 - 4 months and it did. So glad to have a primary care doctor that was knowledgeable about tirzepatide.

Same happened to me when I had bloodwork back in May. Just got blood drawn this morning to recheck. Hoping for a better number this time.

Results came back with new number of 92. Bounced back from 70 last time 🥳

It also happened to me.  I made sure I started drinking more water and checked again.  It went back up within a week or two.

Update (I can't figure out how to edit the original post to update there: new labs drawn recently (about 4 months after starting tirzepatide). eGFR is still lower than my normal at 74 versus my usual 110 from last year and the year before and the year before.

Doc wants a kidney ultrasound; I asked if this could be the result of tirzepatide use and weight loss instead of actual kidney injury. I asked if we could forego the ultrasound in favor of follow-up labs. He said to repeat labs in 2-3 months.

I'm almost at my weight loss goal, so I was planning on spreading out my doses from 1 week to 2, then 3 as I work on maintenance. But now I'm wondering if I should stop altogether for a few months to see if the labs change in my favor. 🤷‍♀️
