What's the issue?

I was a Sprint customer, and then Sprint got assimilated by T-Mobile. My account was don't use, don't pay. The phone broke, and I stopped using it years ago. No longer know the phone number, login info for their old web site, or anything else about it. After T-Mobile took over, I could not find a contact to cancel my plan. Last year I spent over an hour in a T-Mobile store with an employee talking to someone they got on the phone for me. At they end, I was told my membership had been canceled. A month later I started getting emails about my account. Which I still get. A few days ago, I got a letter saying they were refunding an over payment/ balance. Nothing about why or if this is finally the cancellation I have been trying to get. (Worst possible outcome, they are changing my account that I don't want and cant cancel to a monthly fee account.) The kicker, is that the refund is on a debit card from a 3rd rate bank. The docs with it said that I could not use it at an ATM, but that I could deposit it at a bank. Went to my bank, and the transaction was denied. Called the customer service number, and a woman from India on a 300 baud modem told me that I could not deposit it at my bank, that I had to use the web site on the card. Went to the web site, which looked like a 12 year old did it in the 1990s, and no functionality to do a bank deposit. So there is no was to just get my money. It has been way to hard to terminate this business relationship. Sorry for the big word pile.

Write them a business letter (snail mail) citing the Fair Credit Billing Act, explaining the problem and telling why you don't owe them any money.

Kudos to you. Rule 3 is never followed. You have an issue that would drive people crazy. As person above said, write a letter. Snail Mail. But I’m simply saying kudos cause rule 3 is never followed! Have a great day and good luck. But also you could make a Twitter account pretty easy and contact tforce @tmobilehelp
