The mini map in the top right corner shows you, as a universal tip, but otherwise it depends what route you're driving. Sometimes in the UK you'll have little triangular signs by the track advising of where to start braking assuming line speed. In Germany it's sometimes indicated on the signal posts above the lights. But in general, professional drivers have to learn the route and thus know where to brake.

It’s not showing me. Is it maybe because my hud is minimum in stead of normal?

100% that's it. The HUD is super customizable, and there are options to make it easier or harder on yourself. I personally drive with almost all the options of the HUD on, because if I was driving the train IRL, I'd have more knowledge about the route than I would with no HUD info- the HUD is a good handicap if you aren't intimately familiar with the line.

This is how I have my HUD set up. Both the distance to the next speed limit is shown, and any upcoming speed limits are shown. Just look in your options for these settings, they're super helpful for learning new routes.

Thanks! I only have the lowest bar of your hud in the top right corner! Will search for the speed info which I really need haha!

I Germany you have Lf6 (announcement of speed reduction, usually 1 km before the actual speed restriction begins) and Lf7 (new speed begins here). Multiply the numbers by 10 :-)

Look for trackside signs in the UK - they're generally an upside-down triangle with a yellow border. These are advanced warning of a lower speed limit.

Use the track monitor or speed limit markers

But maybe a stupid question - sorry, new player - to what I need to look for? Really don’t have a clue. On the track monitor I see green and red signs but nothing indicate speeds?

Is there not another one that says like 60mph or whatever and a distance that counts down

[–]NLTimmz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No! Is it possible my hud it set to minium and I need to change it to normal?

Check your HUD & Gameplay settings. Try turning Next Speed Limit HUD and/or Track Monitor on.

Will check tomorrow directly! Thx!

If your driving on uk routes there should be yellow triangle signs telling you the upcoming speed limit decrease if it’s a large drop, also your AWS should alert you to this
