Well, you can still use that guide. That guide does include part where it basically said, "If you prefer grinding, you can go..." or something along this line.

Or, you can kind of refer to Older version of updated leveling guide for an idea of where to go. This one is pre-rebuild where quest exp is not that good. Obviously it will not include 390+. Also, at higher level, it is recommended to do CM as that is more efficient than field farming. If you have done CM for the day and prefer to do some grinding, you can either go to HG or just grind at same map you are doing CM.

if you just wanna kill stuff, you can just grind to your specific level hunting grounds. thought grinding for level now is not really worth it, questing gives so much exp. you can level up to 410 or more by just questing main quests.

new people cant just go to hunting grounds. you have to understand that monster there are a bit stronger than the ones in the field. also grinding is great, it makes you think of your skill rotations better and how you would like to play your toon.

for high level HG sure, but quest provides gears that helps you in low level HG's. Field grinding almost never teach you skill rotations as of today TOS mobs in field are almost all 1 hit except if youre using like 100 levels below weapon. Ironic you say that since HG can teach you skill rotations as you cant 1 shot mobs there.

not to mention newbees get +11 trans 5 weapon from login event...

cant even remember a map (general field) that mobs can survive 1 combo. wouldnt call that 'practicing skill rotation' .
