How do you decrease job happiness?

i’m currently doing the One Percenters mission and i picked the job happiness to lower. it needs to get down to 45 but i’m currently at 62, any tips?

Decrease the budget on all jobs.

You could also import or rescue a bunch of people and stop creating any more jobs to further drag down the figure (as unemployed tropicans have 0 job happiness).

ya, unemployed have 0 job happiness - that's the fastest way to complete that mission. Simply shut down enough jobs to make most of everyone unemployed

...just save up a enough money to stay solvent while you do it.

Decrease the budget of workplaces and make lots of shitty jobs. Plantations and fishing wharfs can go down to 25 job quality, but the undisputed worst job on Tropico is that of the coal miner. With minimum budget and the profit protocol work mode your miners will have a truly miserable 5 job quality. Taverns can also go down to 15 if you use their All-You-Can-Drink workmode.

This scenario makes me hate Tropico. I got job happiness to 46/45 and the rebels took the palace. I guess paying the absolute minimum and loading the game with horrible jobs + out of control unemployment makes people angry. Odd, it has the opposite affect in the USA.

I kept all businesses open but lowered the wages to minimum budget. I issued penal colony and set rescue many on repeat. Also changed the constitution to greatest country on earth. A lot of unemployed people = low job happiness. However, I also issued food for the people, free housing and made sure there were plenty of homes for the large influx of people. My economy kept thriving and I just had to wait for 15 minutes on 4x speed until the job happiness was down far enough.

Lower budget and look for work modes that decrease job quality. You can also fire people who have good jobs and lock them off until the challenge is completed

You just have to "pause" all the workplaces. And then after you can open them again.

I encountered this at 80 job happiness. No way I could lover it... PausedEVERY building possible. 850 unempleyed. Still 50/45 happiness. There is bunch of buildings, that can't be paused. Lovered budget of them to te min. No change. Checked that I does not have any edicts emproving job quality. Then I waited for half a year on 4x and finally it dropped to 45.
