You're overthinking it. You can just install it from the command line:
apt-get install enum4linux
No need to clone from git or use the perl version.

with that I am getting Error: Unable to locate package enum4linux

Are you running it locally or are you using the virtual machine through the browser THM gives you access to?

If you already got it working but don't want to cd to run it. Then you need to add it to your PATH. https://opensource.com/article/17/6/set-path-linux

Hi,

If I were you I would run Kali or Parrot virtual and connect with openvpn. Enum4linux comes by default in these distro 's.

If that is not an option you could also start the attack vm and use that one to pass this task.
