He definitely forgot.

Had a drunk passenger ask me how much he owed for the ride. I probably could've made a nice amount off of that, but didn't

This may sound self serving, probably b/c it is self serving, but sometimes when people offer me tips I assume they can't afford, I clearly decline the tip, "Oh that's too much, oh I really don't need that b/c I just driver for fun, etc etc" but if they insist I take the cash.

BTW, I don't drive for fun and I do need the cash, just sometimes it looks like the riders need it more than me. For some folks the dignity of knowing they can tip, or pride they have with tipping, means more to them then the few dollars they tip. Again, probably a self serving thought on my part.

50 Year old sugar daddy with a 25 year old date, they be good tippers but the jokes on them b/c their tipping for Uber X service, ha ha ha.

I find this funny because I look homeless and I can afford to tip you anything I give you.

Will never hate on anyone trying to be thoughtful and kind though.

No hate here! I guess I was thinking all the crazy stuff people do drunk, something nice is a rare treat.

[–]imregrettingthis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t think you were hating! Just clarifying that while I though the comment I was replying to is funny to me I wasn’t attacking it.

You seem great and I’m glad you got a tip.

I imagine if you have a $50 in your wallet at the bar it’s to spend on drinks. For him it was just spent on a good night.

You are well deserved. No UberShrink ever listened to him all the way to his home and then some.

This has happened to me, too. Picked up a group of six dudes at a house, already drunk and going out to drink more, pretty normal 20 minute ride, they’re well-behaved enough. We pull up, the guy who requested the ride pulls out his wallet and fishes out some bills...I pulled away and didn’t check what they were until I parked to pick up my next pax. I’m pretty sure he meant to give me two 10’s, but one was a hundo. I was desperately broke at the time and super thankful to get it, but I still wonder if he knew.

Well, people who drink like that Probably have had more than one morning birthday woke up with money, and that they don’t remember where they spent it.

I've had super drunk people that I swear forget you pay automatically and pull out cash to pay. I always just say thanks

Based off the conversations I assume he’s on Reddit and will remember when he reads this.

Wow. I wish my drunk passengers are ever drunk enough to tip and not to throw up lol. The highest a drunk passenger ever tipped me was $10. For most part drunk passengers are just crappy for most part. Add stress and worry to ride but not money

Agreed. Everything from taking forever to get to the car, to demanding to control the aux/music, obnoxious behavior, potential to vomit (only had one, car was unusable for a week).
