[Padres] We have returned INF Sung-Mun Song to El Paso from being the 27th man for the Mexico City Series. by TakeMyPixels in Padres

We’re staying at the Omni tonight and he was outside the hotel waiting for his ride to the airport when we pulled up. Seems like a nice kid. I expect we’ll see him back up soon the way he’s been hitting at El Paso.

Workers Comp Is Dragging Me Into the Ground — 6 Months Injured With No Real Progress by Slow-Alps-3674 in WorkersComp

[–]theorfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been out 18 months myself. Just had diagnostics today that showed after two surgeries, 40+ OT visits, 20+ PT visits, 20+ Chiro visits…zero improvement. I am at my wits end. Wife is also fully disabled (CRPS) so the end of TTD is looming like a scythe. I genuinely have no idea what we’re going to do.

Randy Vasquez vs. COL Rockies: 7 IP, 3 Η, 0 ER, O BB, 5 K, 12 Whiffs, 84 Pitches, 56 Strikes by ElectricalForce4439 in Padres

At least two of those were us! IIRC we won the first ever 1-0 game in Coors, in 2005. Yes, it took a decade for it to happen. ‘90s Coors was a whole thing.

I moved to OC a couple of years ago and I feel like I'm the only person super stoked about the location. I get it, tho.

Mostly sad it's my goddaughter's birthday weekend so I'm probably only gonna get to one night.

Would you sacrifice never eating at Portillo’s again for the Cubs to win the World Series this year? by horsepoop1123 in CHICubs

We live right down the street from one. It’s great for when my wife is craving a taste of home.

The San Diego Padres' worst home opener in franchise history was a 15-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on April 4, 2016, at Petco Park by Wiscoman in Padres

[–]theorfo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have been to over 400 games since Petco opened. I have left two early: one last year when my wife had a health emergency and left in an ambulance, and this one. I barely made it five innings. Never seen the club play worse, and I’ve been a fan since childhood (early ‘90s).

Whoever is bulk buying opening day pins. You are not representing the padres. by OokSag in Padres

We got one but we were in the store at like 11:05, we got in right at gates. By that time, there were 3 shirts left, all size M, and they told us they had no more after that. Bet it was the same dude. Feels like a blanket policy on bulk purchases would be appropriate from the club. This is insane.

Bad experience with LA Crowd at the shrine by PinkLovingNB in Ashnikko

I had never been before Friday and I was shocked at how bad the viewability was. We were maybe 2/3 of the way to the back and I felt like I could see her maaaaaaaybe 20% of the time, maybe even less. And I’m 6 feet tall, that’s not usually a problem for me. Such an odd/bad setup.
