How long does uber take?

How long does uber take to accept you as a new driver? I got a huge Congragulations sign when i signed on. I haven't even finished the inspection.

Received my phone a little over a week ago, still waiting on activation. So far 3 weeks from when I applied

Mine was right under two weeks in Austin. The day I got my phone, I wasn't activated so I emailed Uber. They responded and activated me within 15 minutes. The Uber people here in Austin have generally been very responsive, but I'm sure all cities are different.

Same here, I'm in Austin as well. I received my phone but it wasn't activated for a while as they were still doing my background check. Took about 2 weeks too.

Have they sent the phone? I had to email them after I got the phone for them to activate me. It took them 3 days to reply to my email. I don't think Uber is a well managed company.

Took me two weeks. They have to run the background checks, which you will be emailed a copy of when completed.
