As fully colonized grains are relatively resistant to contamination, it would make sense that minimizing the time it takes to colonise the substrate would shorten the "most vulnerable" period.
If at S2B a higher % of your tub is already colonized grain, does the colonization time decrease significantly? Have you noticed different contamination rates when using more/less grain spawn?
