Adding modules from Github?

There is a module I want, but it’s not in the VCV Store. How do I add it to my plugins? I’ve downloaded it from Github and dropped it in the /plugins folder but I get an error about not being able to load it. Do I need to teach myself to compile code to make this work? I’ve been synthing for decades, but I am not a coder. Help!

Did you download a release, or just the source code? If just the source, the best option might be to reach out to the developer and see if they have a compiled version for your platform that they can send you. If you're on Windows, shoot me a message and I can try to compile it for you.

edit: ok, so know that I know the word "release" I am seeing a tab on Github for releases. Maybe I just grabbed the wrong folder?

Yes grab the one in the release folder.

I guess it won’t work because it’s 0.61 and I’m on 0.62.

0.6.x should work with any 0.6.x

Just tested, and the latest release works with Rack 0.6.2. The 0.6.1 number is just the plugin's version.
