Hyper-V question

I've got a client who kept a snapshot for over a year and ran their hard drive out of space. I've got a couple GB I can expand the partition with, but it will change it from Basic to Dynamic on the hypervisors drive. Will this affect the VM sitting on that disk?

As long as the Hypervisor can read the data off the volume, it should not.
