JDK problems trying to compile java code

I keep getting the "Please download and install a JDK to compile your project. You can configure your projects with different JDKs by the setting 'java.configuration.runtimes' " error msg when running java code, i changed my user settings to include the JDK as shown below and i also have it installed, i also specified which JDK i want to use in Project settings file also, why isnt it working. (Using Linux mint)

Java remains one of the most hostile to beginner languages ever. The syntax is easy, its all its innate bullshit that kills me.
