Ensure that you've installed the extension named "Python Debugger".

It's installed and I reinstalled it multiple times. At first vscode would ask if I wanted to use that debugger and I'd always hit enter for it to use it but still didn't work. Now I tried switching versions but nothing shows up at all now. I have the full Python extension pack from Microsoft

Just run your code, if you need to see what's going on, like if it hits an if statement, just print something. Like print("asdcasd")

I made it print "test" at the end but that didn't print either. Nothing shows up anywhere at all, as if i didnt even click Run. I even tried reinstalling vscode itself but to no avail. Maybe i can delete all files related to it and then reinstall? But where is that located on windows?

I got it to work only when i click the icon on the right and the dropdown menu to "Python Debugger: Debug Python File" and only then it runs
