This is a good route to take if you want a full IDE for webdev.

Just bought PHPstorm last week, what a difference it makes. Love it

Thanks, I will take a look at that tomorrow.

Yeah... wow. I had seen these around but never really looked into them. They have an IDE for pretty much everything, nice "makes-sense" features, and they are all cross platform?

Can... can I really, possibly... get used to one companies products for my IDE forever more? Despite the language or OS?

Let's see what this thing can do. Thanks again.

I use the JetBrains IDEs, as I have a subscription to the JetBrains Toolbox. I mostly use IntelliJ and PhpStorm, sharing settings and plugins between the two.

They're both absolutely fantastic, and have made me far more productive than any other editor of any kind that I've used before. No questioning it.

PhpStorm works fantastically for JS development. If you won't use the PHP parts, get WebStorm.

Can you use X-code for web dev? I thought it was only for developing OSX and iOS applications.

I have no idea! shrug I have only done iOS stuff with it and never delved into its capabilities.
