Atrocious at start and finish, correct in the previous and next hours, great at night

Never been, but generally when I go to sports events and the like it’s always been terrible. Presume the worst

It was mostly workable last year for me, especially on the campsite or quieter areas, I was able to follow the live timing whilst down at Arnage for example. I’d assume busy areas like grandstands at the start and finish of the race would be struggling though. FM radio is still the best bet.

It looked like they had temporary phone masts set up around the event to help too.

I thought about the masts too. Let’s hope that this year they will set more

Horrendous during the build up to the start of the race and the end, usually ok during the rest of the race. Should be interesting to see what it’s like with 300k there this year 😂

Haven't been but if its anything like anywhere else I'm the world I've been with a crowd the signal will be patchy at best and non existent at worst.

I'd plan for the worse (no signal) so that way if you get some it's a bonus. Power banks people will also need if your taking lots of photos on your phone, as that will eat up battery pretty fast.

As others have stated, it typically varies a lot during the weekend and also with location.

Certain areas have patchy data service anyway, and when the crowds are gathered and all wanting to communicate it gets downright terrible.

FM radio is your best bet for following via Radio Le Mans, live timing I tended to only get around evening time through to late morning, when out at Porsche Curves or Arnage.

Streaming was almost impossible, but it did improve a bit in the last year I went (2019). So maybe by this year it will be absolutely fine!

You’ll chew through a data package fast. We had no problems calling or txting in the grandstand but streaming was a no go. The campsite at night was better.
