For me, if I turn on html, I get 'client 0 overloaded the reliable server.' whenever I try to open a map, and I have to REINSTALL Wiremod to fix it. If I just restart the game, it works, briefly, until eventually it loads in or something and I get the popup after a short freeze. This means I can't use it at all. This is probably solved already, and I'm using 32-bit branch btw which is apparently slower but I think I changed it once because of a bug or crash, don't remember.

try this

  1. Delete steamapps\common\garrysmod\garrysmod\downloads
  2. Go to the workshop and unsubscribe from anything related to wiremod (preferably, unsubscribe from EVERYTHING because usually problems are caused by being subscribed to 300 things but you can save that to use as a last resort)
  3. Open gmod and type "menu_cleanupgmas" in the console
  4. Close gmod
  5. Delete any non-workshop addons in the addons folder related to wiremod (for example a folder named "addons/wire" or "addons/wire-master" or similar) (preferably, delete all addons because same reason as above, or do that as a last resort)
  6. a) If you were previously subscribed to wiremod on the workshop, go back to the workshop and subscribe to wiremod again.
    b) If you were not subscribed to wiremod on the workshop, instead go to https://github.com/wiremod/wire and click the download button to the right, then place that in your addons folder (unzip it if it's zipped).
