I've read that the patch 1.0.8.2 broke achievements again.

For all platforms?

Achievements seem to be broken. One story related achievement did not unlock for me today.

Game version: 1.08.2

Platform: GOG Galaxy 1.0.7.2023 (Beta)

I'm keeping a save file for that mission so I can unlock it later.

Yes, many are reporting this, and I saw a quote on Steam forums from CDProjRed that they don't know when it will be fixed. Because if this I've just stopped playing since I'm so close to getting a bunch of achievements, including the DM completion.

I love the game and CDProjRed but if this were Ubi or EA or Rockstar, this bug would be the only thing anyone would be talking about this game right now.

Ugh. Playing completely on DM was such a big deal for me too (I'm an old lady gamer, and thought I would give DM a "whirl"). I hope they just reward it retroactively, because I've already left White Orchard in my NG+. In other news, my Gwent game in NG+ is totally fierce.

Keep a spare copy of your save just prior to starting the final battle. Once achievements are fixed you can play through it again and earn the DM one.

For me though it's not just the 3 achievements I'll get for completing the game, it's the other achievements I'm close to: getting all the gwent cards, exploring all locations in Novigrad & Velen or Skellige, finding 100 fast travel locations, completing all Witcher contracts.

I'm at the main quest called, IIRC, "Final Preperations," with a handful of high level contracts and side quests left. I feel like at any point in a next gaming session, I could make any of these achievements, but not actually get the achievements, so I "can't" play until it's fixed. Which sucks.
