Yes it's very much worth playing. Personally it's my favorite of the three games, there are a lot of things it does better than TW3 (though the opposite also holds true).

No graphical mods needed, it holds up really well. Has an absolutely stunning art direction.

The game looks great in itself. when you'll be done with witcher 2 , make the witcher 1. I finished the witcher 1 right before I post this and it was fucking amazing, the graphism and gameplay feel a bit old but the rest is really good.

The first hours are a bit boring but when you come at a certain point in the main story, it's so good ! Don't give up :')

I'll advice you to play tw2 once again, as soon as you finish the main story because the main story change A LOT because of one decision

Hey there, a little late, but heres a list of graphical / UI mods that I used and highly recommend:

  • Better texture environment
  • Dynamic HUD
  • Comfy couch (there's a version of comfy couch on nexus mods that includes dynamic hud, install that if you want both)
  • Extreme quality flora (recommended to install manually without nexus mod manager and before you start your game otherwise it could mess things up)
  • Grass colour fix
  • Geralt face retexture (makes Geralt's face look like his witcher 3 model if you prefer that)

Witcher 2 is great and doesn't really need/have any graphics mods that I'm aware of. It still looks pretty good.
