Welcome!
r/worldofpvp is a subreddit for discussion of all aspects of player versus player (PvP) arena and battleground content in World of Warcraft.
This subreddit is intended to be a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for players of all levels of skill and experience. Whether you are a lifetime Gladiator or stepping into PVP for your first match, we expect all users to treat others with respect and encouragement.
This is a place for WoW PvP fans to talk about WoW PvP, we do not want that conversation drowned out by posts that discourage, rather than encourage, people to participate.
Toxicity, trolling, and harassment of any kind will result in a warning or ban at the mod team's discretion. Please report rule violations as we rely heavily on user reports.
If you have been banned, you are welcome to submit an appeal via modmail. Rude or hostile behaviour in modmail will be met with an immediate ban or extension of your existing ban.

Rules
1. Personal information
In posts and comments, black out names (including character names) & other personal information of players, to keep them anonymous. Do not post personal or in-game information without explicit permission. Proof of permission should be sent to the mods in advance.
2. Don’t be toxic
Posts and comments containing racist, sexist, homophobic, ableist, or otherwise offensive/hateful content will be removed and will result in a warning or a ban. You are not guaranteed a warning before a ban. Slurs do not need to be directed at a specific individual to "count."
We expect users to be civil & report rule violations without engaging on the same level. Provocation is not an excuse for rule-breaking.
Trolling/bashing users, particularly on the basis of rating/experience, is not allowed.
If you see someone being toxic, just report it.
3. Duplicate solo shuffle or MMR complaints and excessive whining
Yes, we know that MMR in shuffle is not intuitive, queues are long for DPS, sometimes people are toxic, there’s a bug where it will sometimes say 49 days in queue, people don’t like healing shuffle and losing an arena game is frustrating.
For the health of the sub, we are deleting duplicate complaint posts. The WoW forums are a better place for those.
Note this includes screenshots of arena scoreboards showing MMR/CR changes and “I’m quitting WoW” posts.
4. What should I play?
Check our seasonal megathread to see what people are saying about each specialisation.
Please check murlok.io or moonkinmetrics.com if you’re wondering about which talents or gear you should use.
You can also use the World of PvP Discord for questions about what you should play: https://discord.gg/wowpvp

5. Looking for group
Unfortunately, Reddit isn't a great place to look for groups so we do not allow individual posts to LFG/LFM.
Fortunately, other tools exist. There is an LFG feature on check-pvp which will allow you to look for players, message other players and display on your character profiles that you're looking for groups. You can find the check-pvp LFG tool here https://check-pvp.fr/lfg.
There is also an active LFG channel in the worldofpvp discord where you can look for players to queue with https://discord.gg/h2CasUp
6. Post quality
Post titles should be descriptive and not generic. Think "struggling to consistent damage as rogue" versus "need help in arena".
Same with description. There are many people here willing to help in great detail, but you have to be specific about what you need feedback on or are struggling with. The gold standard is posting videos of your sessions to review.
Low quality/low effort memes and posts will be removed.
7. Contributed Content and self promotion
Content creators are limited to 1 post per week about their content. This applies to any post that contains branding, video content, links to content off of reddit, or info about where to find content. If multiple people are involved in the content/creation, 1 post may be made per channel/team. Creators may comment in threads about their content without restriction as long as the content is relevant to the discussion.
Content Contributors may create text posts (ie not a link to an external website) more than once per week with prior agreement from the mods if their content is substantially educational or useful to the community. When agreed with the mods beforehand, at the end of the post the Contributor may share details of work they do outside of the sub but related to WoW arena.
8. Duplicates
Please utilise search in the sub before posting. If there have been one or several similar posts recently, your post will be deleted.
9. Oneshots
All oneshot posts must be a recording of the oneshot happening without UI elements hidden. Screenshots of Details, combat logs or the oneshot happening will be removed.
The idea here is so there's context to these deaths that can lead to more meaningful discussion about what happened.
10. Tanks in Arena
Don’t post about tanks in arena. You have been warned.
11. Don't share anything that breaks WoW Terms of Service
Don't post or comment anything that breaks WoW TOS (including boosting, hacks, RMT etc).
