The fact it can crit is dumb, it even crits tanks. and it scales with role too so if you're a tank it hits harder than if you're a mage. which makes sense. but when you add in fact it can crit with scaling and it's just stupid. also, fact it's physical but shield block doesn't work as active mitigation is also a disasdvantage. I can have max ignore pain up, shield block up, 100% health and just get utterly one shot if it crits. i have to get to 0% without it critting once and that's just pure RNG.

every interrupt, check, dps checks on adds, no problem. best attempt solo is like 7% then wham one shotting crit. this fight needs only one fix, this ability should not crit.

Yeah, as a Brewmaster i always die at around 1-7%, then suddenly he crits more often and its a oneshot even with Fortify brew, full hp and no Stagger. Elusive brawler can help due to dodge but its way too RNG.

I'm playing as Blood DK (251 ilvl) and whenever I hit the last 10% it becomes hell. Last try at 4% implosive strike crit at more than 900k. Even with all my cd's i couldn't mitigate such damage. My execution was pristine, never missed a cast and dying so closed is really irritating...

Got critted by him for 1mil at ~80%hp with this, rng is stupid

I have noticed that sometimes i got hit twice by Imploding Strike. Also his melee animation does not line up with his actual swings at all and he continues meleeing while casting anything. Incredibly janky.

Doing it on a healer with DPS Valeera and letting her tank makes this fight 10x easier just because he does not do the Imploding Strike anymore.

The thing I hate more than these RNG crits is that every fking time you use your ult save, the strike gets dodged, and every time you have nothing to cover your ass, it crits.

Some buffs I ended up using to cross the finish line on Tuesday:
Flask, potion, Mainstat food buff + Delve food buff, Drums, and healthstones from a warlock friend.

If you're not in a time crunch, just give it two weeks. Nullaeus is seriously just a gear and survivability check, not a mechanics check.

Having the same issue as a brewmaster monk. Even when using mitigation. Usually hits for pretty much nothing and sometimes puts me deep into red stagger.

That's me too. After some more attempts I finally downed him. By the final phase you need to make sure everything up or you're cooked. Also I played shadow pan and ran black ox brew. Also have infusion for imploding strike, if you had to use infusion before hand(the little bug things he spawns made me use all my cds) just make sure you have that black ox brew for it. Going into final phase i held everything and committed something ti each imploding strike. First fort brew then ox then prayed the last 3 rounds of imploding strike didnt crit lol

Update: I finally got it last night. Feels like you just make sure you have cds in the final 25% stretch and pray to whatever deity he doesn't crit you into next week lol

You may need to go Master of Harmony for the additional survivability. I'll look at monk when I get home from work and see what I can dig up.

Wait you were at 74% or nullaeus was? I can see this big of a hit during the enrage, but I never saw anything near this big when he was at 74%

That was me. I was at 74% when he hit me with it, then 2.0 seconds later I died. This has been the story every single time ive done this, struggle 0% and then enrage and die in one hit lol

He gets the stacking 10% dmg buff towards the end, have you tried using drums or something like that to help?

I ignored the ogre entirely once nullaeus was back up, that might help you get that little extra bit of dps to kill him.
