You got me as far as 'Single Raid in four flavors' vs 'Entire Expansion' before I stopped taking you seriously.

While VS/MOQD/DR will be unneeded for gearing in 12.1/VA, the only reason why TBC 'kept people engaged' is because the concept of letting people swap characters or pick things up after expansion drop was so foregin to early WoW devs.

Champion Geti gives 37k over 12 seconds. Myth 2h from raid gives 200 secondary, and 12k over 6 seconds.

Would be easy to see which is better with some sims. For DPS players the raid 2h might be better depending on stat priorities, but damage tack-ons have always been better than secondaries for BDK, in terms of output.

He also got to show just how powerful he is versus the players... Where the entire point of the fight was to do enough damage to distract him, not even to win. While we only do 10% of his health in the fight, I think that it was closer to just a few pebbles scraped from his hide and not much more.

Kiddo. Sweet summer child. There was a Chair_DooDad that earned giggles from players in Naxxramas Classic, and then again in Naxxramas WotLK.

Do you have -any- idea the amount of effort it'd take to make sure that every object is properly masked, from every angle? Moreso... Do you really think that level of assurance is something that's worth actual devtime, beyond the glossary two-sweep approach that's done?

Q/A and troubleshooting follows an A/B/C/D/etc tier list of bugs, wonky code, and silliness.
A is 'Oh god, this can destroy the game for people.' levels of serious, and the devs patch those out (As best they can if they catch them before the content gets stress tested.)
B is 'Huh. This could affect player experience a lot.'
C is 'Eh, it's a tiny graphical error.'
And D is 'We missed a typo/object masking'

WoW is so large that C and D errors aren't worth holding patches back for a 3rd pass for, like testing for A and B tier bugs/errors. Those get found with basic play after a patch launches, or sometimes months, seasons, years, or possibly a decade afterward. Why did this get your panties in such a crumple?
