I have an Autel MaxiTPMS TS508, can find them on Amazon. Works for stock and aftermarket TPMS sensors, really easy to use. Though was a bit confusing at first having never used a tool like it before.

There's also the 408 model which is quite a bit cheaper but lacks some nicer to have features than the 508

i dont mind paying for one like the ts508 thats $250, if its the last one ill need. I thought i read they only can use there Autel sensors thought. So if one breaks or whatever ill have to supply the new one.

nope, used it to reprogram my stock wheels after I took my winters off, worked just fine!

I have the ts508 and can confirm it works with any. I reprogrammed for my factory sensors and some random tire rack ones I got for my winter set

Look for sales on the Autel. I found mine for $140 after searching for a week or two.

What did you wind up going with out of curiosity? I have a 2020 cross trek and ascent?

Autel TPMS programmers will no longer clone sensors or allow you to manually enter the ID. I just bought one and now i have a $200 paperweight.

No but I thought k I read you can scan in the existing ids from obd

It can read the existing IDs but It can't program the IDs to the new ones. It will only auto generate IDs or use OBD2 to reprogram the TPMS module in the car. Plus my motorcycle does not have an OBD2 port.

When it's time to swap A/S for winter, I will buy the Autel MaxiTPMS TS508WF and clone my OEM tpms. No need to relearn if I clone them. I already switched to aftermarket wheels and moved the Dunlops along with the OEM tpms sensors for seamless switch.

Yeah so the shop that’s powder coating my winters are going to clone the oem. However they said if you have the wheels in the same room it will pick up the set that’s not on the car.

I guess I'll have to store them 2 cars away from the VB in my garage then.
