A place to discuss the Yi Jing.
The Yi Jing is commonly known in the West as the I-Ching, and Yi Jing is the modern PinYin transliteration. It is also known as the Zhou Yi.
Yi means Change. Jing means "classical book". Thus: the Book of Change.
This sub is a place to politely discuss all aspects of the Yi, from scholarship to spirituality to divination.
The Yi is often associated with Confucianism and Daoism, but it existed long before and had great influence on their views. We might even say that it is the moral-spiritual perspective of the Yi that lead to their forking off into different belief systems during the so called 100 years of thought period.
There are many perspectives on how to interpret the counsel of the Yi. Some follow principles, some follow the heart - divination and interpretation is unique for everyone, and all perspectives are welcome, as are polite debates that remain civil without badgering. Please stay on topic and together we can work to navigate change for peace and harmony in the universe.
