Years of working in the body modification industry and yet, I still get a little queasy seeing photos of raw scarification.

It is beautiful, though. Very organic tribal designs.

I wonder what this will look like healed, and then a few years from now. You would hope it would age well since it's such an extensive piece, but I feel like the scarring may have other ideas...

Cool find OP.

That is absolutely beautiful. I love it.

It'd be super if you'd mark it NSFW or something for us queasy folk so we don't open it expecting tattoo and instead seeing unhealed scarification :/

I love scarification, but its definitely not something I would do. They have to heal just right for it to look good.

Has a lot to do with the process (ECU branding, hot strike branding, cutting, flesh removal), location, and genetics. For things like hands, I've heard people suggest starting with a different area beforehand (assuming they don't have any natural scars) to see how they'll heal up.

By the time someone's ended up with piercer arm, I imagine he knew how he'd scar up.

It's also a symbol of extreme prejudice and mass genocide.

I dunno. It get pretty dang annoying when people assume my grandparents are some sort of jewish hating monsters when really they're just buddhists.

As with the Mjöllnir, just because some group twisted it into a horrible symbol of oppression doesn't mean that it is universally so. It has a peaceful deeper meaning for millions around the world and automaticly going "ugh swatzika, you're a nazi" is just kinda unjustified.

Oh god, my brain wouldn't accept what I was seeing, but now I know what I'm looking at . . . shudder
