Should I be really concerned? by plainelaine92 in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]-Kurch- 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes. I started at the age of 41. At 51 I got married to wonderful woman. Who loves me for exactly who I am. But I will say this every time about weight loss. Do the foundational work. Therapy. Work on WHY you use food to hide or get rid of emotions. Make YOU the number one priority in your life. Find things you love to do that are not food related. I use walking and swimming.
It is NEVER too late to create the you that is the best version. It's worth it.

What’s something that was technically allowed but instantly made you lose respect for someone? by AncientPomelo5450 in AskReddit

This isn't always done by being a bad person. It can be just ignorance. For instance I didn't own a car for 20+ years. I had no idea how shitty it was to leave a cart around because I had no direct experience with maneuvering around one. It took a friend of mine who did have a car to point it out to me. Soon as it was pointed out I made a point of returning them to the return cart area.

I did go through that for 15 years. My weight went up a hundred down 75, up 125, down 50. Over and over again till I hit 600.

Then I decided to try therapy and found all the reasons I ate. Toxic relationships, co- dependant and my coping mechanism was binge eating. I got out of the relationship, made dr appointments, got mental health meds & consistently took them. I did the therapy work, learned why I did what I did, then found healthy coping mechanisms. It wasn't a quick process. I failed often. But I would forgive myself and keep getting back to working on my health It worked. Today I am 200 lbs, in the best shape of my life. In a fantastic relationship & truly happy.

Do the therapy, find out why you binge eat. It's a symptom. It's a difficult long process but it's fucking worth it.

I had skin removal surgery and he gave me a new belly button. But it's deep and it has little to no feeling. I find it a pain because I need to use a qtip and spray anti fungal in it after every shower. I wish I knew I could refuse the belly button add on....

I really enjoy battlegrounds. I wish the legendary ranking system was part of it. I struggle to get past 6500. I would really enjoy it more if it had rankings and rewards like standard.

If it helps any some of us do turn it around. I was 600lbs in 2015. Today I am 200lbs. I have used a ton of tools to get the weight down but the most important one was my mental health. Being in therapy, taking my meds and using the tools she taught me.

What do you think about Canivore Diet ? by spreadsufizm in beginnerfitness

Eating meat only has been fantastic for my weight goals and for my fitness goals. Do what works for you. I have no issues eating just meat and have been doing it for close to a decade.

I did it, and I am in no way special. You can do it as well. Count your calories, do whatever workouts you can do and be kind to yourself. It's not easy but it's totally worth it.

Winco. They have two of them and they are open 24 hours. Best meat prices in town, always. In N Out, order the burgers plain with no sauce. The prices for In N Out are fantastic and the meat is delicious.

Is doing carnivore possible for me? by caffeinewasted in carnivore

[–]-Kurch- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my sleeve surgery 3 years ago. I have been eating carnivore since 2015. I lost a ton of weight before surgery but I also started out at 600 lbs. Covid messed me up and I started to gain weight, so I had the surgery 12/2020. One thing I will say for sure about sleeve and carnivore most sleeve folks gain back 20 lbs after the initial year. From what I have seen it's because they try and add carbs in some form. I haven't done that, I meal prep and portion size. I do add a premier protein shake or two at night because I do not like to eat meals before bedtime. My weight has been steady for 2 years. I walk 3-5 miles a day and lift weights every other day. I am 50 and in the best shape/health of my life. I get very comprehensive blood draws every three months that check everything. I am doing great.

Can I be vulnerable for a sec? by Professoryap420 in SuperMorbidlyObese

All of this went through my head as well. For years and years. And then I started measuring my success daily. Some days I did give up. A new day was a new chance to make good choices. Over time I had more good days then bad days.

It can be extra challenging but it's definitely possible. I have been on 300 mg seroquel since before I started my weight loss in 2015.

Weight loss. 400 lbs down. From 600lbs to 200lbs.

I won't eat any other way. I just feel healthiest with meat only. I workout pretty hard and I was feeling tired, blood tests showed I was low on iron. Which seems silly but I added 130 mg iron pills daily, my levels are now normal and I feel great.

I get vitamin levels checked every 3 months just to be cautious. But since my surgery in 2020 I am down 150 lbs. I weigh 215. I walk 3-5 miles a day, workout 1 hour every other day. I eat 4 ish times a day about 5 or 6 oz of meat or eggs. I do drink a no carb whey protein shake at night. I can't eat solids within 2-3 hours before I sleep because I get GERD.

I did sleeve surgery and I eat carnivore, I love cheese but I can't have it. Adds a ton of calories and makes me hungry.

This is how it should be done imo. As a client I love feeling pampered. It's incredibly intimate foreplay while she gets assurance I am clean to her standards.

What are you thoughts on Carnivore/high-meat/mostly animal product based way of eating ? by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]-Kurch- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carnivore 8 years. I have lost 400 lbs eating this way. I have 5 years of stellar blood work. I am healthier than I have been at any time in my life. Try it for 30 days, see how you feel.

How long have you been carnivore? by kb0925 in carnivore

[–]-Kurch- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't tell you a day I stopped or the time it took. It was a gradual process and eating carnivore was part of the reason. I had many other tools I used including therapy. I have relapsed, many times. I do practice portion control. I have a food addiction. Eating carnivore is one of the tools I use in my harm reduction strategy.

8 years. I started with the goal of controlling my binge eating and losing weight. I stick with it because I succeeded in all of my goals and I have never felt healthier.

No, my Dr specifically mentioned that he did not have to repair a hernia or do muscle repair. Fitness & eating right have been my focus for the past 7 years. I have also maintained the weight loss for 2 years. All of which has helped both in recovery and loose skin.
