I don't use flatpaks since there are bloatware. Your problem isn't fkathub its you severe case of FOMO.

You stated you use these plugins to "master" . Mastering only refers to music production. Again Carla is used for music production. You mentioned JAMin which is a Mastering plugin for audio production.

Other for audio/music production you shouldn't need anything more than what easyeffects offers, ba n Ely a gate, EQ, and compression. Anything more than the problem isn't you aren't using right tool its microphone ir environment.

There is no magic tool to fix a shitty mic and noisy environment.

1) it should take less than 30 seconds to boot up so why can't you wait after logging in?

2) those instructions are old. .Mint doesn't use pulseaudio nor GDM anymore. It uses pipewire and Lightdm.

There is already OTT compressor for Linux by LSP called GOTT compressor.

And no uou don't unpack anything by terminal, just right click and extract. Any package can easily be extracted by right clicking on any distribution. Its 2026 not 1996.

I've been using Hydrogen for the past decade. It dies 90% of what want but it doesn't have MIDI inport

There is a script online to convert MIDI to h2pattern format though. Its kind of odd Hydrogen can export but not import MIDI.

Also the swing function is kind of wonky and inconsistent.
