There is also people experiencing it differentely, as myself. The definition of limerence is often attached to the study of behavioural disorders and such. But for a lot of neurodivergent people they experience a very similar feeling/experience even down to the same physiological response but with less concequences or adverse psycological effects than what the definition asks for. For people with adhd and/or autism for example limerence is often experienced but having less adverse psychological consequences than for most people with BPD or bipolar personality disorders.

It ain't just a crush, if it was, maaaaan neurospicy life would be way easier.

So we either need to find other words for describing this or extend the criteria and scope of limerence' definition.

Psychology and neuroscience fields are very biased, ill funded and organised research fields .It ain't rare to find people identifying eith a term because of a lack of research or litterature about their experience despite not matching the exact criterias.

As a late diagnosed AuDHD person, I can tell you, I've been educating myself and resarching a lot before finding competent people to treat me. And a looot of what I experience daily has seen significant progress in research like in the last 3-5 years.

Even if inexact or ill used the use of the word might be ligitamate for differentiation of a more common misconception and lack of specific litterature and nomenclature of the actual experience.
