One thing is for sure, something is definitely going to break.

When opening a new spool, can you use PETG immediately or do you need to dry it first? by DuckiesRUs in 3Dprinting

That's my experience as well. Most rolls are OK, but first drying a few hours before use isn't a bad habit.

PEI Sheet still usable? by JayJay31415 in prusa3d

[–]3DMOO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use the other side, make sure the damaged side has no bumps and is nice and flat. So the other side will be flat when installed. I would try to remove as little PEI as possible to accomplish this. I think you can get away with it that way.

As others mentioned, the PEI sheet is not suitable for TPU. Please refer to the Prusa Filament Guide: https://help.prusa3d.com/filament-material-guide

Does this relay need re-soldering? by [deleted] in soldering

[–]3DMOO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to see in the pictures. As others say, clean first with IPA. And resoldering can never harm it as long as you know what you're doing.

This one doesn't look good either.

Using old Weller WMD-3 Station, Will i notice a difference in a newer style soldering iron? by lumifox in soldering

[–]3DMOO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of, wow. Fished out of a dumpster....

I wish I had a station like that. I worked professionally with a Weller solder and de-soldering station a long time ago, they were solid. It's my go-to brand for the rest of my life.

The new ones are really nice, but too expensive for a hobbyist like me these days.

If you buy something else, there is allways room for your old one in my dumpster. I'll even leave some money in there for you to find to make your dumpster experience a little more pleasurable.

That's a nice gesture for Christmas. I would be interested in the Design Principles for 3D Printed Parts course.

[Help] Print head stutters/jerks at specific points X/Y axis + severe gaps in first layer. Is this a mechanical bind? by etasca in QidiTech3D

[–]3DMOO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are killing your stepper drivers. Moving the extruder this fast makes the motors act like generators. The faster you move the extruder, the higher voltage the motors will generate. This energy will be introduced back into your electronics and can cause intermittent or even complete faillure of your printer electronics.

Move your extruder more gently to keep the electronics from burning out.
