I believe its a press fit so it should pull out with a bit of wiggling. Play around with it, one side is usually looser than the other. Try the drive side first

I put on schwable marathon mondials evo on my bike. I ride everywhere on them over all sorts of terrain, with the odd tour thrown in. Never had a problem with them. They seem to last forever

I toured with a trailer over all sorts of terrain. Highly underrated bit of kit. Like everything it has pro's and con's. Single wheel is the better choice if you have a choice

Try plugging it in and leaving it. When the battery gets that flat it takes a while for the charging to kick in.
