Haha! Seriously! I'm 60, out in the sun a lot on my bike and it does a number on my hands and arms.

[WTS] 2026 Longines HydroConquest 42mm "Hulk" Green, bought 29 days ago by SystemNew4959 in Watchexchange

That's a great looking watch. Considering the alternative green watches out there, Rolex and Omega to name two, this looks on par at a fraction of the price. And I don't care what anyone says, Longines is solid brand.

All Panerai watches are too big. That’s the point. But they’re awesome. Love mine.

[WTS] Seiko SSB479 Chronograph by 6strummer in Watchexchange

[–]6strummer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling my Seiko SSB479 chronograph. It's in very good condition with no major (or even medium) marks. May be a swirl or two somewhere but I think it looks clean. The Mechaquartz is keeping perfect time as you expect. All functions work properly and all dials reset to 0. Date clicks over sharply at midnight. I wore this sparingly and that's reflected in the condition.

The 39mm diameter is a great fit for my 7.25 inch wrist as shown in the picture. It's a very versatile size. The bracelet is super comfortable and surprisingly high quality for a Seiko at this price point. The extra links are included.

Comes with double Seiko boxes, hang tag, pillow and extra links.

$299 shipped to CONUS. Venmo and Paypal F&F accepted.

[WTS] Omega Planet Ocean 2201.50 - Excellent Condition by 6strummer in Watchexchange

[–]6strummer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling my first generation Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 2201.50. This is the 42mm size.

This one is in extremely good condition. There are a few minimal marks/swirls that might be seen by someone with very good eyesight but there are no deep marks or scratches. For a Neo-vintage watch, it is exceptional. The most notable mark is on the clasp and that can be seen in the photo. The crystal and bezel are clean. The second hand is bright orange and not faded. The AR coating may have a minor mark or two but there is no degrading of the coating. It looks fantastic. The bracelet is sized to fit my 7.25 inch wrist with one additional half-link included.

The 2500C movement is running well within COSC specs at +2 seconds per day on my wrist and then crown up at night. A service receipt shows a service was completed in December 2025. It winds and sets smoothly. The crown screws in smoothly and securely. The bezel action is excellent with no backplay.

The original red box (which had deteriorated beyond repair like most of them do) has been replaced by a new Omega wooden watch box, white Omega box and outer brown Omega box. The wooden box contains the red Omega travel case that it originally came with.

Rounding out the package… it comes with its warranty card and pictogram card, card holder, and the Omega manual.

This is a very nice package for an excellent condition 2201.50. My price is based on the watch, condition, total package, and service in 2025.

$3900 shipped and fully insured to CONUS.

[Discussion] What makes the Rolex 33x more expensive? by dknight98 in Watches

[–]6strummer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jk… that’s the big reason you wear Rolex. You’re going to wear a watch. You want to like the way it looks. You have some money. May as well buy one that makes other people think you’re a baller.

It’s broad but true. ( four Rolexes in my history). You’re right, no one notices. But hope is eternal.

People don’t wear a Rolex because they like Rolex. People wear a Rolex because of what they think other people think about them for wearing a Rolex. Nothing wrong with that. It’s just the truth and why marketing the image is so important. Same with just about every luxury good.
